CH Gentle Gift's Kama of Kindred Heart
We are pleased to introduce the newest love of our Kindred Hearts. CH Gentle Gift's Kama of Kindred Heart is our new queen. Kama comes from some of the best Grand Champion lines. Kama's Sire is GC Baan Thai Nuad-Meo of Gentle Gift and her Dam is GC Mowl Sima's Sathira of GentleGift. We are lucky to have her and we give thanks to Dennis Ganoe, Judy Buckle-Ganoe and Cheryl Coleman for Kama.
Kama and I had been sleeping in her room for a few days. This was her first litter and I wanted to be there for her. I knew it was a very important time to both of us. We were expecting the Kittens any minute. We had just come out of her room and were watching TV on the couch together when she made a particular sound. I noticed that her water had broken it was time. Kama began the process. At one point she got tired and leaned against my arms. I held her up while she was pushing. As the first baby arrived, Kama was quick to care for their faces. She wanted to be sure that every kitten was breathing before anything else. While one kitten was arriving Kama had just the top half born and that baby was already licked clean and breathing. Kama was very brave and in control the whole time through. I was surprised to see that our petite little queen had four kittens. I was so happy to see all of them nursing just minutes after the last one finally arrived. I really feel it is the best we could have hoped for her first litter. She is an amazing mom.
Laura Shimer of Jade Cat now has our most special girl from this litter Holly (Haawn-Le). Holly has an important life a head of her. She is going to be a queen. We wish both Laura and Holly the best with their new adventures.

GC Love Sumalee Witthe Blue
When you first meet a Korat make sure to make eye contact with them. It doesn't matter if they are a baby kitten or a veteran Korat, this is the most important type of communication for introduction to a Korat. Once your eyes meet, keep the Korat's gaze as long as they keep eye contact with you.
"Witty"
After you have met eyes with the Korat make sure to let them sniff your hand before you try to pet them. Korats have a very proud manner and an introduction will make things go smoother. They are cautious when meeting new people and animals because Korats are a naturally occurring breed. If you are very lucky, the first time you meet a Korat they will hold your gaze for an extended period. Korats have a unique ability to bond. They share eyes with you to let you know that they will let you in. The longer they hold your gaze, the deeper they are letting you in.
Our Sire Witty is a Grand Champion in The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) and a Champion in The International Cat Association (TICA) . His father is GC Ma Lez Chin Son (CH in TICA) and his mother is Debbie of Love Sumalee (RW QGC in TICA). GC Witty continues to be the gentleman sire. We are lucky to have him and we give thanks to Terri Chapman, Madeline Lovelace and a special thanks to Norma O'Neill for Witty.
